Winter

La Bollène Vésubie is located at 700 meters above sea level, 55 Km from Nice, on the border of the road D-70, linking the Vésubie Valley to the Bévéra Valley. From the village it is easy to reach the Turini Pass (used in the Monte-Carlo rally), to the Authion Massif whose reach includes La Vallée des Merveilles, one of the largest Bronze-Age art site in France.
The spring Praï, taped at 9 km from the village at the bottom of the Authion is still well known for a it's high mineral content. If drunk over a certain period of time we can get a good cleasing of the kidneys and bowels. The old people from the village will even tell you, that with this water the Pernod tastes better.
  

Ski Station

The district has a winter ski resort, Turini-Camp d'Argent, which is located at 1700 meters above sea level. This resort is accessible through 3 different valleys, and is only one hour away from the Riviera, it is on the border of a national nature reserve: Le Parc du Mercantour, and very close to La Vallée des Merveilles. This ski station is aimed for families, being situated on the south slopes, the amount of sunshine is truly exceptional. The outdoor activities run from Alpine skiing, to cross-country skiing, and there is a huge area available for hiking, the forest tracks are used for sledging.
  

Multimedia Center

Finished in June 2001, the centre is dedicated to host seminars, citizen-charities as well as locals and visitors. The Multimedia Centre of la Bollène Vésubie, is located at the centre of the village in a 4 story building. The buiding of 800 m² hosts : a tourist board, a public library with computers with internet access and a theatre equiped with high resolution video-equipment.

  
  
Monte-Carlo Rally

Every winter the borough of la Bollène hosts a stage of the Monte-Carlo Rally. The press coverage is enormous. Thousands of passionate amateurs, reporters, cameramen and photographers come back every year for the event. Two other Rallies take place in the area, the Jean Behra Rally and the South Alps Rally.

the Climate
La Bollène Vésubie benifits from a micro-climate which is perfect for practicing any outdoor sports. With no pollution, the air quality is very good, and the same can be said for the water which can be found running from many natural springs. As for all this area, winters are always mild and the sunshine exceptional.
